Cookie Policy
Which cookies precisino.it uses, what they are for and what happens if you say no.
Courtesy translation
This is a courtesy translation; in case of discrepancy, the Italian version prevails. The Italian text is the one that binds, and it is available on the Italian version of this page.
In short
precisino.it uses technical cookies — the ones without which the site does not work: they keep your session open when you sign in to the application, they store two display preferences and your answer to the banner. For these the law (art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, and the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority — the Garante — of 10 June 2021) does not require consent: it requires that they be declared, and this page is that declaration.
It also uses the Google Analytics statistics cookies, which do require consent: they start ONLY if you choose “Accept all” in the banner, and only on the public presentation pages. If you choose “Essential only”, or if you choose nothing, Google's script is not even downloaded — it is not loaded and then switched off, it does not start at all.
We do not advertise: Google's advertising consents (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) remain denied at all times, even when you accept everything.
Which cookies, one by one
sb-…-auth-token and the session cookies — they exist only after you have signed in to the application: they are the ones that keep you inside. They are written by Supabase, the service that handles authentication and the database. Technical cookies, first party, duration of the session with renewal.
Display preferences (panels already seen, log filters) — they exist so that you do not have to close the same things again on every page. Technical cookies, first party.
precisino_consent — your answer to the banner, so that we do not ask you for it again on every page. Technical cookie, first party, duration six months: after that we ask you again, because a consent that is years old is no longer informed.
_ga and _ga_… — the Google Analytics cookies. They exist ONLY if you have chosen “Accept all”. They tell visits and sessions apart; duration up to two years (_ga) and three months (_ga_…), decided by Google. Third party: Google Ireland Limited.
How to change your mind
By deleting the site's cookies from your browser: your answer to the banner disappears with them, and on your next visit we ask you again. From there you can choose “Essential only”, and Google does not start again.
The choice lasts six months. There is no trick to keep it from coming back: if you refuse it, you will find it again — that is the price of having asked you in earnest.
How to delete them
From any browser, in the privacy or site data settings. By deleting them you will be signed out of the application; if you had accepted the statistics, you will delete those too.
Who else receives something
The site is served by Vercel Inc. and the application's data is on Supabase (European region): both process technical connection data, as any hosting provider does, and neither installs cookies of its own.
Google Ireland Limited receives the statistics data ONLY if you have accepted: pages seen, source, device, and the browser identifier which is exactly what we ask your permission to write. The full list of providers, and what each one does, is in the Privacy Policy.
